All About Me!
Hi, my name is Joanne and I’m from Taipa Area School. I’m currently in Year 9 in Mr. T’s class. I’m part Maori and have two marae's, one in the Far North and one further down south. My favourite subjects are art and writing. I find maths difficult, but I still manage to understand it. In my future life, I wish to become an architect and I may go to AUT to get my professional qualifications. I live in a small community with my family of 8, not including the cats. I have 5 siblings, 4 sisters and 1 brother. My best friend in my life is Araniera. I mainly live around old folk so I don’t have many friends around my neighbourhood.
Make A Clinometer: Joanne & Araniera
Materials: Set square.
Cotton.
Sellotape.
Blue Tack.
Cut up Erasers.
1m Rulers.
Task: Make a clinometer.
To measure the height of 2 different tree's.
Height of the gym.
Height of a normal classroom.
This is one of many videos of how to make a clinometer.
My Thought: Trigonometry is one of many uses that will be proven useful in my near future, like with some situations like cutting down trees by figuring out their height using a clinometer. It was interesting to use this as it was fun to work out the measurement of a building or a tree.
